DON’T BE STUMPED FOR A GIFT THIS FATHER’S DAY

Fathers and grandfathers will be bowled over by these cricket-themed Father’s Day gifts offering a unique opportunity to recreate the unmistakable ambience of Lord’s at home.

As MCC celebrates the bicentenary of the current Lord’s Ground, cricket fans can bring a piece of Lord’s to their own homes and gardens with a replica bench and Old Father Time Clock Tower produced by Scotts of Thrapston, the official Pavilion partner of Lord’s.

The replica Lord’s Benches are available at £1,200 (three seat) or £1,500 (four seat) and the Lord’s Clock Tower starts from £3,000, both include delivery (within 150 miles of Thrapston in Northamptonshire). For further information and details of how to order, visit www.scottsofthrapston.co.uk/lords.

Bringing the Home of Cricket home

Scotts of Thrapston offers these unique Lord’s products as part of its association with the iconic venue, the Home of Cricket.

2014 marks 200 years since Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) played the first ever cricket match at the current ground; a thriller where the club hosted and defeated Hertfordshire. This fixture will be repeated to celebrate the occasion a full 200 years to the day on 22 June, 2014*.

With such heritage and history, it’s no surprise that Lord’s has a fond place in every cricket fan’s heart, and now it can have a place in their garden too.

The iconic white benches, that are integral to Lord’s unmistakeable ambience, can be purchased in two different sizes.  They are produced with Accoya high performance timber and cold rolled steel legs, incorporating the classic Father Time image from the weather vane at Lord’s.

The materials used within the bench have been carefully selected to ensure outstanding levels of stability and durability.

Ideal for any existing outbuilding, or indeed providing the ultimate finishing touch to a Scotts’ Cricket Pavilion, the distinctive Lord’s Clock Tower also incorporates the Lord’s and Old Father Time brands.

The pressure impregnated timber Clock Tower with side vents features a fibreglass roof and is finished in microporous off-white paint. Replica clocks can be specified for more than one face at an additional cost**.
