See the Latest Self Build Innovations at Build It Live! Bluewater

Find out all you need to know about building your own home or taking on a renovation or extension project with a visit to Build it Live! at Bluewater (28 February – 1 March 2015).


Visitors can talk to a range of experts and companies about how to realise a house building or renovation dream.  Find out what is possible and what you can and can’t do without planning permission, learn how to add space, value and light into a home, and hear from architects about how to plan and make a project become a reality.

Experienced and first time self builders and renovators will find plenty of inspiration and practical advice at the show.

New for 2015 REAL LIFE PROJECTS: Gain inspiration and confidence from Build It readers who have realised their self build dreams.  Hear their stories in the live theatre on the show floor.


New for 2015 SELF BUILD ACADEMY: New to the show floor this year are free taster sessions from the Self Build Academy delivered by Potton – providing essential knowledge for all self builders.


GREENER HOMES ZONE: From solar panels to all other renewable and alternative energies – learn how to create an efficient home; helping the planet and saving you money.  Includes advice and presentations from the Department of Energy & Climate Change. Visitors can hear how they can save up to £2250 pa through the renewable heating incentive scheme.


PLOTSEARCH ZONE: Tips on searching for plots, access to PlotSearch the UK’s premier live online database plus a gallery of current available plots of land across the UK.


THE NAKED HOUSE: See a section of a new build as it comes together after ‘1st fix’– a fascinating insight into how things are installed, from ICF blockwork and underfloor heating, to the roof trusses and floor joists!


Meet with architects and other independent experts for one-to-one free advice on a project or take part in free seminars and workshops which zone in on specific problems and choices that self builders and renovators face every day.


Meet over 100 of the UKs most innovative suppliers offering 1000s of products and services including lofts, kitchens, underfloor heating, folding sliding doors, mortgages and much more.


Companies exhibiting at the show include ‘Potton’ who offer stylish self build homes, ‘English Bros’ with their bespoke timber framed houses and ‘Carpenter Oak’ who create beautiful hand crafted oak timber framed buildings.  ‘Modus Vivendi’ will be tempting visitors with their incredibly stylish kitchen solutions,  ‘Kloeber’ who have the latest glazing solutions including bifold doors and  ‘JB Kind’ will provide ideas from their extensive range of internal and external doors.


New at Bluewater this year will be the ‘Tool Zone’ where self builders and renovators can see demonstrations of specialist tools with the opportunity to buy at discounted prices.

Build It Live will take place at Glow, Bluewater, Kent, DA9 9SG


Bluewater is located just off the M25 Dartford Crossing.


Easy access and over 13,000 free parking spaces plus 60 restaurants and cafes, shopping and cinema.


Travelling by car:

If you are travelling on the M25, follow signs to Dartford Crossing, this is signposted along the entire length of the M25 in both directions. Lookout for Junction 2 (A2/M2), then follow the signs to Bluewater. The M25 is numbered clockwise from Dartford Crossing (J1 through to A13 (J30).


By Train:

You can get to Ebbsfleet International in just 20 minutes from St Pancras by high speed train or take regular trains to Greenhithe from London and Medway stations.
