Solarlux achieves another iF gold award for cero!

Solarlux has been presented with the prestigious award for outstanding design, the iF gold award for its cero sliding window. The iF label is recognised internationally as one of the most important awards for demonstrating excellent product quality and outstanding design, putting Solarlux with the likes of Apple, Audi, BMW and Samsung as one of the world’s leading companies in the field of style and design.

As one of Solarlux’s brands, cero is a highly versatile product with limitless design possibilities, guaranteeing precision, clever technical details, continuous development and technical support. cero permits ceiling-high glazing (with doors of 15m² surface area) and is the ultimate glazing option to maximise visible light transmission without compromising on ventilation or views.

The judges at the iF awards said: “This new design idea for sliding windows is extremely versatile, and the fact that so few visible materials are used in the frame structure creates a completely new aesthetic in architectural window design. The frame and threshold construction disappear elegantly into the floor, making windows appear open even when they’re closed, and the windows also have an excellent functional and user-friendly design. It’s inspirational!”

Stefan Holtgreife, at Solarlux GmbH explained: “It’s easy to be conventional. But Solarlux is different. We think outside the box, and this is reflected in our product design, our marketing activities and our communication. This desire to be different has manifested itself in the heads of the Solarlux employees, and we want to hold onto this idea.

“There were over 5000 product entries for the 75 awards at this year’s iF awards so achieving our gold award demonstrates special recognition of our achievements. It proves to us that we are on the right path. We are extremely pleased and will be celebrating with the entire Solarlux team.”
