Ultrafabrics® Showcase their Environmental Credentials at London’s Future Fabrics Expo this September

Ultrafabrics® the pioneer in design led, high performance polyurethane fabric has been selected for inclusion at the curated Future Fabrics Expo at London Olympia Exhibition Centre from the 29-30th September 2015.

Charlotte Turner, Project Manager for Future Fabrics Expo says:

“For the past 5 years the Future Fabrics Expo has been showcasing some of the best low impact innovations in international fashion and interior textiles. The carefully curated showcase proves that higher standards of environmental and social sustainability need not affect quality, aesthetics and longevity of materials, and that the creative application of materials with a reduced environmental impact can help to push the industry towards more sustainable practices. The Sustainable Angle is excited to share a wide range of new innovations at the 5th Future Fabrics Expo in London, including exciting alternatives to leather and standard cotton and polyester that are so widely used today.”

The Future Fabrics Expo showcases and promotes innovative and commercially viable fibres, fabrics and products that embody a range of sustainable principles and new technologies. The intention is to creatively inspire designers as well as educate them about the newest developments in sustainable fabrics.

Ultrafabrics® specialise in the engineering, manufacturing and distribution of the highest quality polyurethane materials available on the market. As a true alternative to leather or woven fabrics, its products are specified by a plethora of luxury companies. 100’s of different colours and textures in the numerous collections allow for exciting collaborations across many sectors within the interior design industry.

Year on year the lines between interior and fashion design are becoming increasingly blurred and each season Ultrafabrics® highlights key trends and chooses fabrics to represent them. For 2015 the trends of haute couture were seeping into all sectors of design, and the inspiration was broken into 5 distinct themes Borderline, Eminence, Jaunty, Mirage & Modish.
