Award winning property, Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa, breaks new ground with environmentally-friendly features and cool, contemporary design

A waking dream in a tropical oasis, newly-opened Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa offers guests refreshing modern décor, contemporary style and eco-design. Located in the north-east of Thailand, the island of Phuket, is home to stunning beaches and lush flora favoured by travellers around the world. This five star luxury hotel captures the beauty of Phuket’s natural vegetation, woven seamlessly into a thoughtfully designed hotel for open spaces and natural shade.

Designed for ultimate relaxation, the rooms, suites and villas provide the perfect haven for travellers seeking sophisticated and luxurious accommodation. The floor-to-ceiling windows perfectly frame beautiful views including those of the surrounding rolling hills. Plush bedding is complemented with blackout curtains for the perfect night’s sleep.  Every room and suite also features a beautiful free standing stone bathtub for spa-like pampering in absolute privacy.

Special design features in the rooms, such as the swim-up Deluxe rooms, giving guests the opportunity to access and leave their room via the pool, add something special to any guests’ stay. A special wow effect is created in the Sky suites. Located on the top floors of the hotel, some of these luxurious suites come with an attached private pool, perfect for that midnight dip under the stars.

Throughout the hotel, bright whites and vivid hues create a contemporary and sophisticated feel. This is best seen around the hotel’s centrally located pool where the airy cabanas contrast beautifully against the blues and greens of the swimming pool and surrounding landscaping.

A standout architectural feature that greets every guest upon arrival is the double-height open reception area cradled under a spectacular suspended ceiling.  This breezy and welcoming space was designed specially to for increased airflow, leading visitors seamlessly from the lobby to the outdoors.

Offering a different atmosphere, Indulge, the dark wood and leather-adorned whiskey, wine and cigar lounge, has a masculine design and complements the airy surroundings of the hotel.

Recognised three times for New Hotel Design and Construction Thailand from the prestigious International Hotel Awards Asia Pacific (for the years 2012-2013, 2013-2014, and 2014-2015), the hotel breaks new ground with its environmentally-friendly features that effectively reduce its eco-footprint. Some of these features include overhanging balconies to reduce solar heat, and cascading green walls of plants designed to create areas of natural shade for cool walkways. Energy efficient LED lights are used throughout the property to reduce electricity consumption, and a passive ventilation design for corridors further reduce the power expenditure whilst encouraging airflow. Out of sight, the roofs feature grey water collection and filtration processes which reuse rainwater for irrigation.

Great care and attention were taken during the design and planning stages to ensure that Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa leaves a legacy not only of impeccable five-star service in a luxurious environment, but also one of caring for the environment, doing its part in protecting the future of the tropical Thai paradise.
