The launch of LuxuryMade marks an exciting moment for Media 10, the London Design Festival and the
interior design community. Showcasing furniture, fabrics and carpets, lighting and accessories, LuxuryMade is
set to be a new focus for exceptional design, quality and inspiration.
Event Director William Knight has said that ‘By staging a beautifully produced and highly selective showcase of
some of the best contemporary and decorative brands in a stunning central location, it responds to an
expanding market in need of a new high quality event and visitor experience.
We have placed this ambitious show within the emerging powerhouse of design in West Kensington – alongside
the new Design Museum and resurgent 100% Design.’
OLYMPIA’S PILLAR HALLS
Set across two impressive spaces within one truly remarkable venue, LuxuryMade will take place in Olympia’s
Pillar Halls, parts of which have been hidden from public view for over 20 years.
A striking setting, the Pillar Hall is an extravagant banquet room with ornate marble Corinthian columns and
intricately embellished ceilings. The high arches of the Upper Pillar Hall, which was once the UK’s first electric
cinema, will serve as the second space.
Both halls, constructed as part of the original Olympia site which opened in 1886 as the ‘Prince’s Apartments’,
demonstrate the grandeur of magnificent Victorian architecture and subsequently, provide the ultimate venue
for this event.
