Doris & Co celebrates International Coffee Day with its heartfelt mugs

English creamware company Doris & Co is celebrating International Coffee Day by encouraging people to sit down and share a coffee on Saturday 1 October.

Emma Warren, who runs Doris & Co, says: ‘Doris & Co is all about having a cup of tea or coffee with friends and family. Coffee in the morning; coffee and a catch up with old friends; going for coffee with your new hot date – we love to drink coffee morning, day and night with friends, business associates and family in our Doris & Co mugs.

‘Our handmade mugs are perfect for any coffee lover – whether you favour espresso, Americanos, lattes or cappuccinos; iced, decaf, instant or filter, we’re celebrating International Coffee Day. It’s the day to savour and appreciate your beverage.’

International Coffee Day also marks the long history of the drink, which was originally popularised in the Arab world from around the 15th century spreading across Asia then to Italy and across Europe and to the Americas – and finally to your coffee cup.

Emma adds: ‘The Doris philosophy is all about sharing moments with friends, and we particularly enjoy doing this with our Old Friends Are Best mug, which is perfect for sharing a coffee with your bestie. Our mugs showcase some genuinely heartfelt messages for all occasions, so when you drink your cup of coffee on 1 October you’ll enjoy the moment even more.’

Doris & Co is a British company devoted to making luxury English creamware pottery and home wares. The shapes and designs are based on Georgian or Early Industrial shapes, from the time that pottery and home wares were still made by hand. With house wares of beauty and utility, to ‘last many lifetimes’, you can choose from mugs, jugs, vases and jar, cheeseboards, dishes and trivets.
