Luxury, freestanding bath specialist Waters Baths of Ashbourne has partnered with Nick Munro in an exciting collaboration, which will see the renowned British designer* take his first foray into the bathroom industry to create a stunning new range of beautiful freestanding baths and basins.

Characterised by their modern sculptural form and subtle, organic detailing, the new statement baths and basins will bring together Waters Baths of Ashbourne’s technical expertise and manufacturing excellence with Nick’s incredible creativity and design prowess. The innovative new collection, which is due to launch in early 2019, will consist of beautiful, freestanding stone tubs and matching basins made from Waters Baths of Ashbourne’s exclusive DQ Cast. Combining crushed quartz and limestone with modern polymers and UV stabilisers, this premium material is finished in a sublime, hand polished matt white finish. Also included in the range will be freestanding models made from strong, durable and luxuriously tactile Lucite acrylic.

Waters Baths of Ashbourne’s managing director Anthony Smith says: “This is an exciting new development for Waters Baths of Ashbourne and we’re delighted to be working with Nick on this new statement range. Nick is a natural fit for Waters Baths of Ashbourne and he shares our vision to create beautiful, iconic baths of unrivalled comfort.”

Nick Munro, who is looking to bring his signature British style, characterised by its elegance, poise, intelligence and wit to the project, adds: “We’re looking to create something that is very contemporary, sculptural and artistic, something that is recognisably a Waters Baths of Ashbourne product. Artistically there is a real connection between Waters Baths of Ashbourne and myself in terms of the ambition of the project. From a quality, cultural, and precision point of view there’s a real synergy between us and these are all the right qualities you need to make a project successful.”
