Gaia worked with Hobbs Heating & Plumbing delivering their wet underfloor heating to one of the latest developments for Rectory Homes in Haddenham, Bucks. The site comprises of 3, 4 and 5 bedroomed homes with a mix of semi-detached and detached homes, with only 2 homes left for sale from the 40 built. Haddenham is a desirable village in rural Buckinghamshire with good transport links to London (35 minutes on the Chiltern Line to Marylebone).
Installing underfloor heating during the new-build stage is easier than on a refurbishment project. The system works within the complete floor structure, and with new-build properties is more efficient with better heat outputs from the system and insulation.
Gaia installed their wet into screed system with the Danfoss WT-T thermostats into 27 plots on the development. This is an all room thermostat controlling the room temperature in accordance with the temperature desired by the home owner, providing optimal energy savings while upholding optimal thermal comfort in the room.
