NBG Partner Leads The Way In Fundraising For Customers Life-saving Medical Trial @NBGLLP

County Building Supplies is working to help raise £250,000 for one of its customers, Ashley who has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and Liver Metastases.

County Building Supplies has been a National Buying Group (NBG) Partner since the group was formed and has always prided itself on going above and beyond for customers. This time the organisation is fundraising for Ashley’s potentially life-saving medical trial.

Ashley and his wife recently celebrated the birth of their second son and just a few weeks later, Ashley was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer and Liver Metastases. In a cruel twist of fate, the family have since faced further setback as their house has recently been badly flooded and they need to find a house to rent for six months.

Ashley, whose career as a builder has involved many selfless projects leading to him being known as the man with a smile, a funny story and a heartfelt consideration for all. During March, County Building Supplies will be donating £1 for every collection over £10, as well as holding a raffle in store.

While Ashley has already been making lifestyle changes to improve his immune system, he needs further treatment. Funds will go towards CAR-T Cell (Lazarus Treatment), which currently costs £250,000 per patient.

NBG Board Member and Managing Director at County Building Supplies, Martyn Rees said: “We take great pride in the fact that we go above and beyond for our customers and we want to do everything we can to try and help Ashley’s family at this difficult time. We would love it if our other customers, suppliers and fellow NBG Partners could get involved to try and reach the target of £250,000 and help give Ashley the fighting chance he deserves.”

Nick Oates, Managing Director at NBG said: “NBG really is one big family and this is just another example of how we are always happy to pull together and help Partners and Suppliers whenever we can.”
