Inspiring, Innovative New and Returning Brands at Grand Designs Live @granddesigns

Grand Designs Live, proudly sponsored by Anglian Home Improvements, will return to Birmingham’s NEC from 6 – 10 October 2021. This inspirational event promises to break through the conventional limitations in home building to offer visitors the chance to discover the very latest revolutions in home design, build, renovation and decor, explore current trends, find new products and discover brands not yet seen on the high street.

Based around the hugely popular Channel 4 TV series, and hosted by design authority Kevin McCloud, the event will be filled with exciting exhibitors, spanning an array of different sectors: Build, Kitchens and Bathrooms, Gardens and Interiors, along with exciting and exclusive talks, seminars and demonstrations from experts across the industries.

Visitors can check out eco innovations from Kevin’s Green Heroes, sponsored by Reynaers at home; comprising of eleven ground-breaking brands that are changing the landscape of design, build and interiors. Each brand is specially curated by Kevin McCloud himself and supported by Grand Designs Live and Reynaers as the kind of green-minded and design-friendly innovation that Kevin and Grand Designs Live choose to champion.

For home-renovation inspiration, visitors will delight in the brand-new feature; The Great British Box Room Competition sponsored by Crown Paints. Six interior designers will take on 6 installation spaces designing the best use for one of the smallest rooms in any house: the quintessential ‘box room’, transforming it into one of most useful rooms in the home.

Across the show’s sectors innovators in design and product abound with exciting chance for visitors to get involved, The Sleep Quality Experiment will be at Grand Designs Live. By taking part in the experiment visitors to Grand Designs Live Birmingham will after a blind test, learn their most and least favourite mattresses, and a few lucky participants will then be gifted the mattress of their choice, as a reward for taking part!

Across the show’s sectors innovative brands, products and services abound. Grand Build will showcase products to advance every project, from adding an extension to an existing home to renovating a period property or building a ‘Grand Design’ of your own. Aspiring self-builders will find pioneering ideas ranging from construction to finishing touches, as well as the newest developments in sustainable technology alongside inspiring designs and ideas from an array of architects.

A top selection of build suppliers including Ecoscape UK; the leading supplier of environmentally friendly wood plastic composite products including decking, cladding, fencing and balustrade systems. Visitors can also discover beautiful, long lasting and creative recycled wood flooring from Eco Flooring UK, while Ground Source Heat Pumps will showcase their newest models and systems that provide ground and water, air, underfloor heating and solar panel solutions.

Those with an interest in self-build, an extension or renovation can also discover the European leaders in polystyrene construction systems, Jackon UK, who offer sustainable, low energy solutions for construction; helping the industry move towards zero energy construction. Ground-breaking design and production service Built & Spaces will be outing their modern methods of construction to build a steel frame home at Grand Designs Live. Also, on show will be products from the only truly frameless double-glazed doors, bannisters and window systems from Frameless Glass Curtains; while Solidor’s innovative and secure entry doors will also be on show.

Grand Interiors will offer stylish ways to finish a home, from furnishings to décor and beyond.  Visitors can discover exceptional products from designers and browse hundreds of brands not readily available on the high street, including beautifully designed home theatres from Pure Theatre. Discover designer and luxury furniture, lighting and accessories from Artico Interiors. SleepStyle offers a massive range of Beds, Headboards, Footstools, Ottoman Beds and Mattresses to suit all budgets while British Wool Marketing Board where visitors can try out wool carpets and furnishings.

For finishing touches to any room, visitors and find luxury blinds, curtains and shutters from Thomas Sanderson, while Uropa Design Agencies who represent a range of established and unique furniture companies will also be at Grand Designs Live, showcasing high-quality, unique, impeccably detailed, comfortable and durably designed furniture for sophisticated, trend-following customers. Another interiors highlight, not to be missed, is MedicAir, the market leader in delivering medical grade air purification to healthcare facilities, offices and homes.

Grand Kitchens & Bathrooms will offer some of the most pioneering kitchens and appliances on the market from the likes of Northgate Kitchens and Tudor Kicthens. Returning to the show, Kutchenhaus will present their range of uniquely designed German-engineered kitchens and bathrooms, while GLAAST LTD provide glass processing services & glass products such as bespoke kitchen splash backs and printed glass. Sponsored by Hydropool, visitors will explore an abundance of new and exciting ideas in this sector. Beautiful conservatories, roof lanterns and conservatories from CCS Midlands and extraordinary garden design from Zelkova Design with projects throughout the UK ranging from contemporary through to traditional, while The Great British Awning and Blind Company will showcase fully automated patio awnings, remote controlled roof and vertical blinds designed for garden rooms. Those looking for an outdoor extension to their living space can find a range of luxury, contemporary garden buildings and offices from Torp.

At the Grand Theatre, sponsored by sponsored by ABC Warranty, garden lovers can discover the ‘The Ultimate Garden Accessory’, with Kunle Barker and hear from award winning Garden Designer Manoj Malde, on how to ‘Get Creative Colour’ in the garden.

For a snack and to discover some exciting new brand in food, including imported wines from Le Mistral Wine Company as well as a range of tempting homewares such as Massagers, Massage Chairs & Home Fitness Equipment from Casada visitors should head to Grand Food & Housewares. The Design Arcade hosts an array of smaller creative brands showcasing artistic installations and hoe accessories for every style of home possible. Visitors can discover beautiful, design-led and functional lighting-based pieces from Ginko Electronics, find high output designer heat solutions from Yorkshire Radiators and uncover new products for the home including bespoke artworks from Serenity Design House and beyond.
