Pye Homes has appointed Manor Interiors to provide fitted kitchens in all its new properties.
Based in Wiltshire, Manor Interiors specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of handmade kitchens for the new homes sector.
Previously the Oxfordshire developer, which is owned by Blenheim, had worked with a company based in Germany.
However, as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable development and reducing carbon emissions, they have now switched to Manor Interiors as their main supplier.
“As part of that we have to consider the carbon emissions associated with transportation.
“Manor’s main manufacturing facility is less than 35 miles away from us which represents a significant reduction compared with having to import the kitchens from Germany.
“It also means we can work closer with a locally-based firm which shares our values, strengthens our pledge to build in harmony with the local area so that new homes belong as part of a community and makes communication straightforward and timeframes considerably reduced,” he added.
Manor Interiors has been awarded full FSC® certified (C119172) in recognition of its commitment to using timber from sustainable sources. The company also recycles 90% of the waste material from its manufacturing facility.
Many of their kitchens feature low energy LED lighting and ‘A rated’ integrated appliances which will lower customers’ future energy costs as well as reducing the impact on the environment.
