In line with the company strategy that combines business needs with care for the planet, FLORIM stone is an integral part of the CarbonZero project, the Carbon Neutral surfaces that offset all CO2 emissions generated throughout the entire lifecycle.
The surfaces are the result of an environmentally conscious process, produced in facilities that recover 100% of raw production waste, 100% of wastewater, and where 127,000 square meters of surfaces covered with photovoltaic panels provide 12.3 MWp. These facilities, together with two cogeneration units, generate up to 100% of the electricity needed for the operation of the Italian production plants. When that’s not enough, Florim purchases energy from certified renewable sources.
FLORIM stone surfaces are NSF-certified (National Sanitation Foundation – Food Equipment Materials), making them safe for direct contact with food and food moisture. This American certification classifies FLORIM stone as a “solid surface for food zones.”
In addition to their elegant aesthetics, these surfaces are easy to clean, highly resistant to heat, scratches, and stains, completely waterproof, and exceptionally durable.

FLORIM stone was honoured with the Green Good Design Award 2024, further reinforcing its innovative and sustainable qualities.
Recently, FLORIM stone expanded its range with 11 new designs, featuring a refined selection of stones with an elegant, understated, and contemporary appeal. The collection introduces a variety of aesthetic solutions, including two types of granite, four limestones, one porphyry, three travertines, and one exquisite marble. This extensive selection provides numerous design possibilities, enabling a stylish and versatile approach to furniture.
FLORIM stone has also introduced two new finishes: “Matte Leather” – inspired by the natural leathered effect of stone surfaces, achieved through acid treatment or sandblasting, followed by brushing. “Matte Silk” – an interpretation of the matte lapping technique used on natural stone. This method involves an initial abrasion of the surface with coarse grinding stones, followed by finer refinement to create a soft, smooth texture that is pleasant to the touch yet non-reflective.
