Superfici d’incontro A collection of tables born from the collaboration between FLORIM and TERZADIMENSIONE

Superfici d’incontro is the new project born from the partnership between FLORIM and TERZADIMENSIONE, introducing an innovative use of porcelain slabs. At the heart of this collaboration lies a shared ambition: to transform porcelain stoneware into a finished product, a central element within a space and a place of interaction. From this vision emerges a collection of 15 table models, designed by renowned furniture designers, where FLORIM’s material and aesthetic research meets TERZADIMENSIONE’s technical know-how, resulting in highly customizable solutions in shape, size, and style.

With Superfici d’incontro, Florim continues its natural and consistent journey into the world of furniture. After progressively extending the use of ceramic slabs beyond architectural applications, the company now strengthens its Total Look approach, venturing into new design territories where surfaces evolve into furnishings, engaging with the space around them and helping define a cohesive, recognizable design language. It’s a natural extension from surfaces to high-end furniture.

The collection is the result of creative contributions from acclaimed names in design — Olivieri, TD Studio, Claudi Valentino, LatoXLato, and Pier Luca Freschi — each interpreting the furnishing element through distinct design languages, yet unified by a common philosophy: to celebrate the beauty, expressive power, and versatility of the material.

High-end ceramic slabs are transformed into contemporary table tops, where fluid lines meet more structured geometries. The bases, available in wood or metal, harmonize with the versatile finishes and allow for extensive customization in terms of form, size, and appearance. Designed for both indoor settings and soft outdoor contexts, the tables are enhanced with specific protective coatings when needed.

Each table is offered as a finished, ready-to-market product. Special attention is given to the tactile experience: while the top surface retains the material qualities of FLORIM slabs, the underside is polished along the first 20 cm from the edge, optimizing comfort in case of contact.

Superfici d’incontro marks a new frontier in ceramic design, a sophisticated approach to surfaces, turning them from cladding elements into true furnishings, from technical components into spaces for connection. Entirely conceived and made in Italy, this project blends design and quality, opening new creative and commercial opportunities through a consistent, design-driven vision.
