Hendel & Hendel expands its signature finish palette with the introduction of Bronze, a rich, grounded new finish developed to give interior designers and specifiers greater flexibility when layering material palettes across cabinetry, furniture and architectural details.
Developed as a distinctive new tone within the brand’s evolving material palette, Bronze offers interior designers and specifiers a warmer alternative to black and a deeper counterpart to brass. Layered with subtle red undertones, it shifts gently with light and surrounding materials, creating a characterful finish that feels warm, tactile and refined.

Each piece is hand-polished to create a soft, mirror-like depth, before being gently aged to achieve a lightly textured surface. A matt bronze lacquer is then applied and carefully cured to help preserve the finish’s richness and tone, ensuring lasting protection while maintaining its natural warmth.
Gareth Hull, Design Lead at Hendel & Hendel, says: “Bronze is one of those finishes people instinctively understand. It has a familiarity to it, but we wanted our interpretation to feel richer, more refined, and full of character. The subtle red undertones and hand-finished ageing process give it real depth, allowing it to sit beautifully within a wide range of material palettes. It has warmth, depth and brings tactility to a space, working in harmony with the surrounding materials rather than competing with them.”
The launch builds on Hendel & Hendel’s Hardware First philosophy, encouraging interior designers, kitchen designers, architects and specifiers to consider cabinetry hardware from the earliest stages of the design process. Rather than being treated as a finishing touch, the brand believes hardware is one of the defining details that shapes how a space looks, feels and functions every day.
“Choosing a finish isn’t simply about colour, it’s about how it sits within the wider material palette. Bronze was developed to work effortlessly alongside timber, stone, marble and painted cabinetry, giving designers another way to introduce warmth and depth from the earliest stages of a project. When hardware is considered from the outset, every detail feels more connected.”
Launching from August across a wide selection of Hendel & Hendel collections including best-sellers Greenwich, Callcott and Okus, Bronze joins the brand’s core finish palette with additional collections becoming available throughout the autumn.
