Two new products to be launched in July show that Schueco’s continuing search for excellence and its determination to stay ahead of the competition, remain strong drivers for innovation.
Developed for use with Schueco sliding door systems, Schueco SmartStop and Schueco SmartClose are two new products that employ innovative technology to enhance existing systems for the benefit of end-users. Suitable for use in both commercial and residential buildings, they also underline Schueco’s commitment to safety, operational comfort and engineering excellence.
SmartClose enhances the operation of a sliding door by making the closing action effortless. It does this by converting the energy generated by the initial pull on the sliding vent into momentum that carries the vent smoothly along the length of its track until its final soft insertion into the outer frame. The action is similar to the soft-closing of drawers in many contemporary kitchens.
Schueco SmartClose also makes closing the door quieter and safer and obviates the possibility of damage to the frame by the vent being slammed shut. SmartClose is unobtrusive, being mounted discreetly on the top profile of the sliding vent.
Schueco SmartStop employs a controlled braking action that slows down the moving vent gently but effectively and brings it to a stop prior to locking in the normal way. This makes the door safer and more user-friendly. SmartStop, which like SmartClose is integrated in the upper profile of the door, is suitable for vents weighing up to 400 kg.
Both products are simple to install and are easy to adjust to suit each particular installation. They are primarily designed as adjuncts to Schueco’s ASS 50 and ASS 70.HI premium sliding doors.
The introduction of SmartStop and SmartClose demonstrates Schueco’s attention to detail and adds yet another element of operational sophistication, further distinguishing Schueco’s comprehensive product offering from those of its competitors.
