Designer Contracts developed a hattrick of inspirational show homes when developers Keepmoat Yorkshire East chose to work with the company’s design team at its Kestrel Gardens, Barnsley site.
Kestrel Gardens sits just two miles from the centre of Barnsley. With all local amenities close by, the well-planned site has an excellent choice of modern, stylish and energy efficient homes.
Said Designer Contracts design sales manager Faye Goddard: “Our relationship with Keepmoat Yorkshire East is a long standing and trusted one. Their show homes are always designed to be luxurious and give a different feel and experience when you move from house to house. We were tasked with developing schemes for the Bamburgh, Oakes and Hardwick house types at the Barnsley site.”
The three-bedroomed Oakes has a navy base colour throughout the house, with maroon and mustard dotted in key areas. As a show home designed for a younger family, it features a sweeping statement velvet sofa in the lounge.
Next door, in the three-bedroomed, three-level Bamburgh, the colour scheme showcases a gradient of greys with metallics and contrasting golds in the feature lighting and accessories.
In the kitchen, the main feature is the bespoke booth area for dining. Here, a mix of frosted and reflective mirrors have been used to enhance and zone the area further. The statement light and velvet upholstery add to the luxurious look.
On the second storey, the master bedroom sits at the top of the house. A metallic marble wallpaper frames the bespoke upholstered king size headboard, and three gold LED lights give the effect of halos, hovering over the hotel-style dressed bed. The space is completed with a seating area to the dormer window.
The final show home is the Hardwick, a generously proportioned four-bedroomed house. The colour scheme for this has been worked in honeys, tans, and accents of black in the lighting and furniture.
The second storey study has a feature botanical mural, drawing the eye into the space which is ideal for working from home. The wooden LVT flooring gives a warm tone to the room and complements the tan and black accents used.
In the master bedroom, a golden upholstered headboard contrasts with black metallic wallpaper creating a striking boutique hotel vibe, accentuated by layers of crisp white linens and velvets on the dressed bed. Crystal pendant lighting completes the look.
Said Antony Rowe, sales manager at Keepmoat Yorkshire East: “Our three show homes at Kestrel Gardens have been showcased with individually thoughtful themes. It is rewarding to see how the designs, from concept to completion, come to fruition. The feedback from our customers has been extremely positive, with insightful comments over various aspects, such as cleverly designed furniture solutions, colour concepts and textures of soft furnishings and wall coverings.”
