Humanscale Celebrated Ergonomics, Movement and Design Innovation at Clerkenwell Design Week 2026

Humanscale returned to Clerkenwell Design Week from 19–21 May 2026 with an immersive showroom programme celebrating ergonomics, movement and material intelligence through product, people and place.

Throughout the festival, Humanscale’s Clerkenwell showroom became a destination for architects, interior designers and workplace professionals seeking insight into the future of ergonomic workplace design.

Visitors experienced the brand’s latest award-winning solutions while connecting directly with the global design leaders shaping Humanscale’s approach to innovation and human-centred design.

At the heart of the programme was a series of informal drop-in design sessions hosted by Sergio Silva, Vice President of Design and Innovation, and Mark Consolla, Vice President of Product Management. Held throughout the three days of Clerkenwell Design Week, the sessions offered visitors a unique opportunity to engage directly with the minds behind some of Humanscale’s most influential products, as well as its latest launches.

Drawing on decades of global experience, Silva and Consolla shared insight into Humanscale’s design philosophy, discussing how ergonomics, movement and human wellbeing are translated into solutions for today’s evolving workspaces. Discussions spanned concept development, material intelligence, engineering, sustainability and long-term product performance, while also offering practical guidance on creating healthier and more responsive workplace environments.

The sessions reinforced Humanscale’s commitment to designing intuitive products that support posture, encourage movement and enhance wellbeing across all work settings.

Diffrient Lounge

Among the showroom highlights was the Diffrient Lounge, a refined evolution of a concept originally envisioned more than two decades ago by legendary designer Niels Diffrient. Reimagined by the Humanscale Design Studio for today’s hybrid environments, the Diffrient Lounge balances residential comfort with workplace performance, intuitively responding to the body to encourage natural movement while supporting work, relaxation and social interaction, and was recently recognised with the iF Design Award 2026 and Red Dot Award 2026.

eFloat Quattro

Also showcased was the eFloat Quattro, Humanscale’s premium four-leg height-adjustable desk designed to support wellbeing through ergonomic precision and seamless movement. Combining refined architectural detailing with responsible manufacturing, the award-winning collection was also presented alongside the new eFloat Quattro Studio tables, designed to enable fast, frictionless collaboration across hybrid workplaces, meeting spaces and executive environments.

The range is 99% recyclable and incorporates non-toxic, PVC-free polyurethane cabling, reinforcing Humanscale’s commitment to sustainable product development.

M/Class Monitor Arms

Completing the line-up was M/Class, the latest evolution of Humanscale’s iconic monitor arm system and the world’s best-selling monitor arm collection, trusted by 98% of Fortune 500 companies and a winner of the Red Dot Award 2026. Recently reimagined for hybrid and shared workplaces, the new generation supports larger displays while integrating enhanced cable management, connectivity and charging capabilities, alongside a new pure white finish designed to complement contemporary workplace interiors.

A Hub for Design Conversation

By combining product innovation with direct access to its global design leadership team, Humanscale’s Clerkenwell showroom became a vibrant hub for conversation throughout the festival. Through expert-led sessions, immersive product experiences and thought-provoking discussions around movement, wellbeing and sustainability, visitors gained valuable insight into how ergonomic thinking can meaningfully shape the future of workplace design.
