HARVEST COLLECTION

HARVEST COLLECTION

Innovative rug design studio Peter Page pushes the boundaries of textile craftsmanship once again with the launch of its new Harvest Collection – an extraordinary series of nine rugs that redefine the relationship between art, texture, and floorcovering design. Conceived and designed entirely in-house, the collection represents a technical and creative achievement rarely seen
within the contemporary rug market.

Uniting flatweave construction with both hand-knotted Soumac and Persian knot techniques, each rug is crafted from an intricate blend of linen, jute and space-dyed bamboo silk. The result is a richly layered surface with exceptional depth, movement and luminosity – artisanal pieces with the visual language of contemporary art and the tactile richness of hand craftsmanship.

The collection draws inspiration from aerial perspectives of the landscape: field formations, furrows, cultivated grids, softened contours and the natural rhythm of the land seen from above.

Linear agricultural markings dissolve into painterly textures, while repeating geometric forms are interrupted by organic movement and tonal variation. The designs balance structure with softness, creating pieces that quietly anchor an interior while continually revealing new detail upon closer inspection.

Technically, the collection is exceptionally demanding. Each rug requires the seamless integration of multiple weaving disciplines, executed entirely by hand by a highly specialised group of artisans.

The level of expertise needed to produce these rugs is extraordinarily rare; mastery of the techniques takes years of training and even longer to perfect. Reflecting the intricacy of the techniques involved, artisans weave each rug at a careful pace of one to two inches per day.

This deliberate pace is fundamental to the integrity of the collection and evident in the extraordinary precision and character of every finished piece.

A sophisticated palette of mineral blues, muted greens, softened earth tones and subtle blush pinks further enhances the collection’s textural richness.

The interplay between matte and lustrous fibres – from the dry tactility of jute and linen to the gentle sheen of bamboo silk – creates a constantly shifting surface that changes beautifully with light and perspective.

With Harvest, Peter Page continues its commitment to innovation through craftsmanship, producing rugs that transcend decoration to become immersive, collectible design objects. Bold in technique yet understated in spirit, the collection offers a new language for contemporary interiors – one rooted in artistry, materiality and enduring craft.

Peter Page says: “While we are a relatively young rug
design studio (founded 2022), the relationships we’ve
built with our weaving partners through my career over
the past 21 years, combined with our team’s deep
design experience, have enabled us to create what we
believe is truly innovative work. Each collection draws
on highly specialised artisanal skills, translating complex
ideas and textures into beautifully crafted rugs.”

The Harvest collection launches at the Chelsea Wharf
showroom in September 2026.
