Informare has been appointed by Commercial Interiors UK (CIUK), to promote the importance of the UK’s contract furnishing industry within the wider business community.
CIUK is the only business and trade association dedicated to representing the full spectrum of interior products and services both in the UK and globally, with a mission to build a sustainable future for the sector.
CIUK is a partner of the British Furniture Confederation (BFC), alongside the British Furniture Association (BFA), Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA), National Bed Federation (NBF), and the UK Sustainable Flooring Alliance (UKSFA), as well as working closely with the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers (WCoFM).
Collectively the furniture and furnishing sector contributes a significant £40 billion to the UK economy through manufacturing, retail, and associated activities, while supporting more than 230,000 jobs across over 30,000 businesses.
These are impressive figures, particularly given the continued challenges in the trading environment and a protracted period of geopolitical unrest that impact upon business.
