Based on an original design from the Davey archives, the robust Oceanic pendant lit the way for workers in the dockyards and factories of early twentieth century London. One of the earliest industrial lighting designs on record, the Oceanic was fitted with a sturdy guard to protect from bumps and crashes and a hook mechanism to clip to rails and beams.
Originally produced in galvanised steel, the Oceanic has been updated for contemporary interiors in a palette of powder-coated basalt grey, putty grey, white and black with a contrasting galvanised hook, chain and guard.
Hand-spun in Birmingham, the Oceanic is available in small (£285) and large sizes (£345).
