Quooker, the company that invented the 100°C boiling water tap, has strengthened its representation in Ireland with the addition of a new business development manager.
Mark Shortt, who has more than 45 years’ kitchen industry experience including 35 years’ retailing SieMatic kitchens in Ireland with Houseworks, joins as the Irish market enjoys a return to growth. He received the Lifetime Achievement award at last year’s IKT Awards. Quooker now has more than 150 dealers in Ireland and has seen a 62% year on year sales increase.
“Turnover in the UK and Ireland has now topped £10 million and, with the boiling water tap becoming less of an aspirational product and becoming more of a regular fixture when specifying a new kitchen, demand for Quooker products in Ireland has never been higher,” says Stephen Johnson, Managing Director, Quooker UK.
“It is important for us to maintain the service we provide to our dealers by bringing in additional resource to the team. Mark brings with him a wealth of experience in the kitchen industry and we are sure he will assist us in maintaining the high levels of service, both to dealers and end users, for which Quooker has become renowned over the last few years.”
