The 2017 Flooring Show is getting closer, making it’s annual return to the Harrogate Convention Centre from Sunday 17th September to Tuesday 19th September, for three days of industry leading exhibitors, a wide range of products and popular Show Features.
After its successful comeback in 2016, NICF announced earlier in the year that they would, once again, be running the Carpet Fitter of the Year finals at this years Flooring Show. As on of the sponsors of the competition, The Flooring Show is excited to see Carpet Fitter of The Year return.
The 2017 competition has been taking place throughout the year, with the high standard of this years semi- finalists making the judges job a very difficult one!
A decision has been made and the 6 finalists for the Carpet Fitter of the Year 2017 competition have been announced:
- Darren Ash – Alfrick, Worcestershire
- Jason Draper – Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire
- Dan Evans – Huntingdon, Cambridgshire
- Rob Harper – Wigan, Greater Manchester
- Byron Terrett – Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan
- John Wright – Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire
The successful finalists will face their final tasks over 17th and 18th September in the Kings Suite of The Flooring Show. Visitors and exhibitors can watch the finals, free of charge, to see what it takes to become Carpet Fitter of The Year.
Congratulations must go to the 2016 winner, Mark Smurthwaite, who was the first winner of the competition after its 15 year hiatus and a huge well done to all who took part in this years competition & we wish the best of luck to all of the finalists!
Another returning feature for 2017 is the Demo Zones. Always popular with visitors and exhibitors alike, the two separate zones run by FITA, NICF and CFA will focus on different areas of flooring.
