The UK government have rolled out a fantastic scheme to help homes in England live in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way.

Under the Green Homes Grant Scheme, homeowners and landlords in England will be able to apply for vouchers worth up to two thirds of the cost of upgrading the energy efficiency of their home. For most people, the maximum contribution will be £5,000. Households on low incomes will be eligible for up to 100% funding, up to a maximum of £10,000.

Groundwater is the most commonly forgotten aspect of the Water Cycle as it is not readily seen. The Water Cycle is the constant movement of water through the environment, traveling as slowly as a metre per year. Evaporation of the oceans water, condenses into clouds ready for rainfall across the land. After rainfall, the surface rainwater flows back into rivers and the sea.
