Known for offering a true taste of Italy, Novikov is now making the experience a multi sensory one as its Italian Restaurant hosts a Summertime Market showcasing a dazzling display of artisanal produce.
Evoking a bustling Italian street market, with all its spectacle, colour, flavours and aromas, the event, held on Wednesday 24th June from 11am to 4pm, will see the restaurant partner with some of its favourite suppliers.
Set to be held quarterly to reflect the changing seasons, the market will introduce some wonderful produce freshly harvested from Brent Eleigh, Novikov’s very own garden project in Suffolk. Covering two acres, this Victorian kitchen garden is currently undergoing extensive restoration but is already supplying the kitchens of both the Italian and Asian Restaurants with an array of vegetables, fruits and herbs.
Here at the Summertime Market you will also find the most succulent oysters, seafood and sustainable fish from The Wright Brothers, along with premium beef, veal, sausages and black pudding from O’Shea’s Butchers, now in its 8th generation.
Take your pick from the finest mozzarella and charcuterie from Natoora; Italian olive oils, vinegars and olives from Apulia and Italian artisan food products, from cheese and pasta through to beans and bread, from La Credenza.
Bianca La Bufala’s legendary burrata; La Bottega Del Pane’s homemade chocolates and breads; S.J.’s jamón ibérico and lomo and stunning blooms courtesy of Lisa Yardley Flowers, will all combine to create an unrivalled selection of premium produce.
The Summertime Market will also host a line-up of exciting interactive events, including Italian wine and grappa tastings, truffle presentations, pairing recipes and tips and butchery demonstrations.
Entry is open to all and free of charge. And for anyone wishing to sample some of the ingredients in situ, The Italian Restaurant will be offering a special menu on the day.
