Leading building material supplier Hanson Building Products has walked away from the Housebuilder Product Awards 2015 with the Best Building Fabric Award, for its New Jetfloor insulated ground floors.
New Jetfloor beat off competition from three other finalists to win one of nine categories at the award ceremony, which recognises excellence and innovation in the products and services supplied to the housebuilding industry, at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham.
Hanson recently invested in additional capacity at its Somercotes plant in Derbyshire to help meet growing demand for the product, previous iterations of which have been the market leading solution for thermally insulated structural ground floors since its introduction in 1982.
John Duffy, Sales Director of Hanson Building Products, said: “We collaborated closely with our customers and spent considerable time and effort to build on Jetfloor’s formidable reputation to create New Jetfloor, a product that works for them and their teams on site, and we are thrilled that Housebuilder has selected it as its Best Building Fabric of the year.”
Jetfloor was recently improved and updated by Hanson UK to become New Jetfloor, which is even more cost-effective, supportive and easy to install. New Jetfloor is particularly cost-effective, as its reduced floor thickness leads to savings for developers through the reduction of dig and spoil removal costs.
As a result of this win, Hanson Building Products will go forward as finalists in this year’s Housebuilder Awards, to be held at The Tower Hotel in London on November 5th.
