Care for your classic motors with pioneering infrared heating from Herschel

Far Infrared heating systems have risen in popularity over recent years and can now be seen in all sorts of vehicle storage premises – from classic cars to bus depots – so that the precious cargo looks as good as new whatever the weather.

Infrared heating works on the basis of gentle, long-wave infrared which penetrates the air and heats solids, providing the same feeling of warmth as the winter sun on your face or the heat from a coal fire. Herschel couples unrivalled knowledge of infrared heating technology which is backed by an unbeatable combination of price and ease of installation.

Matthew West of Herschel explains “Traditional space heating solutions in garages are expensive to install and run; they can also encourage condensation and damp. Garages need to avoid rust and chrome pitting that comes from warm, damp atmospheres. Many cars have significant chrome and owners want to protect cars from chrome pitting as it is expensive to replace or repair. This will also make a huge difference to the originality of the vehicles. Infrared, not being convection heating, reduces moisture and dust. These are major concerns for car owners as they can damage cars while dust covers, which are often used for the protection of classic cars, are expensive to purchase.  Recommended heaters are the Herschel IRP4 and Herschel Advantage IR-3.”

Having successfully exhibited their heaters at Goodwood Revival in 2014, Herschel will again, this year, be demonstrating their heaters to classic car owners at the event in September 2015.
