Yorkshire-based bi-folding door specialists, Clear View, has created an extravagant exterior with bi-folding doors in Gloucester after looking overseas in Belgium for a customised paint job.
Whilst most homeowners traditionally stick to the standard powder coated RAL colours for aluminium window and door frames, one domestic homeowner was looking specifically for ‘crazy pink’, a colour which Clear View had to source from Belgium also sourcing matching pink silicone form specialist suppliers in the UK.

“This job has been one of the most challenging that our team have come across, due to the logistical side involved when sourcing the paint and silicone form specialist suppliers abroad, the location of the property in conjunction to our Yorkshire based office and the actually install itself – which wasn’t as straight forward as most, however we delivered and installed this extremely unique door on time.
“Typically, most people look towards the standard RAL colours such as Grey, White or Black for their frames, so it was rather surprising when we got the call for a ‘crazy pink’ – luckily, we had enough contacts throughout the industry to help us source the right paint job for the client who we over the moon with the result.”
Clear View installed five pane bi-folding doors onto the conservatory extension, with the doors having to be lifted over walls and hedges due to the positioning of the building and the size of the garden. The doors, which were all made from aluminium from ALUK, were a total of 4890mm x 2450mm in size, and all were of course finished in ‘crazy pink.’ High efficiently glass was installed to the doors.
“Bi-folding doors have become extremely popular over recent years and that’s because they conform to modern day living as they create more open space than other doors,” added Graeme. “Hopefully we will see more individual and different concepts in future jobs as it allows us to push our skills and expertise to the limit.”
