The sun shone on Chelsea Harbour Hotel for the British Interiors Textiles Association (BITA) Spring Showcase and Studio Shows which included the latest trends, collections and now artwork too. The show ran from 13th-14th March alongside London Design Week, just a stone’s throw from the Design Centre. Visitor numbers were up 30% on last year and this show also celebrated 100 days of showcasing with popular brands such as Casadeco, Clarke & Clarke, Ena Shaw, iLiv, Prestigious, Simpson and Warwick, Ashley Wilde and Edmund Bell.
Over 800 visitors and almost 400 companies enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the intimate two day show and many gave extremely positive feedback. “The BITA 2016 March showcase was the best one to date; many fabulous collections to browse through and a good selection of suppliers.” commented Sarah Clarke, Sarah Clarke Interiors. Erik Fens from Marks of Difference added “It was doing business in a conversational way. All the exhibitors were friendly, it was nice to meet them and well worth the trip”.
Exhibitors also felt the show proved hugely beneficial to their business. “Claire Louise Designs was happy to exhibit at BITA’s first design show, at The Chelsea Harbour Hotel. It was a great opportunity to show the collection to new and existing companies. Looking forward to next year!” stated Claire Taylor of Claire Louise Designs. Ben Jacobs from Chatham Glyn added “Nice to see so many customers and the show was even better than last year, well done!”
