In its fourth edition, the A+Awards featured even more categories, and prizes awarded by both a jury and through a system of public voting. While the precision of engineering and material research can be attributed to the experience of these firms, many other younger architects also made their mark with the A+Awards jury, a panel of over 300 experts.

The ZCB Bamboon Pavilion was a jury-winner in the Architecture + Wood category, as well as a popular winner in the Architecture + Engineering category.
Projects like the Restoration of the Matrera Castle in Spain by Carquero Arquitectura brought controversy into the spotlight, as the public voted Carlos Quevedo Rojas’s much discussed restoration work as the best in the Architecture + Preservation category.
