Redrow South West Posts Record Growth

Redrow Homes has posted record results for the year ending 30 June 2016. The national housebuilder has reported turnover in excess of £1.38bn (up 20%).  The housebuilder’s South West Division is also marking a productive year of growth. A total of 486 new homes were completed in the South West in the period, a rise of 25% on the previous year.  The number of new homes planned for the current financial year is also expected to rise to in excess of 500.

Redrow has acquired five new sites and added over 1,000 plots to the land bank, which once completed will represent a sales value in excess of £360m leading to job creation and added economic benefits for the communities where new developments are located.

Eight new development launches are planned for the forthcoming year in the region in Swindon, Corsham, Bishops Cleeve, Leckhampton, Warminster, Bristol and Stroud.

Lee Hawker, managing director for Redrow Homes South West said: “As a division we’ve enjoyed another year of growth and are pleased to have played our part in a record breaking year for the Group. It’s set to be another exciting year launching a number of new sites across the region.”

Redrow South West employs 150 staff, of which 19 are trainees and 18 are trade apprentices as well as providing work for many subcontractors on its sites throughout the region.
