The British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM) is to hold its annual regulatory and technical seminar on November 4 in Birmingham. The event will feature guest speakers from SAGAR Insurance, BLM solicitors and FIRA, as well as the BFM’s Alistair Bromhead.
It will cover topics such as EHS developments, HSE campaigns, health surveillance requirements and developments in standards. It will also look at the current state of compensations claims from the insurer’s perspective, crisis management and changes to H&S sentencing rules.
Said Jackie Bazeley, BFM md: “As well as FIRA’s fully booked flammability workshop for FIRA and BFM delegates in October, this is another seminar designed to provide members with key up-to-date information on current and changing regulations and standards within the furniture industry.
“Our events are just one way in which we provide members with access to vital information that may affect the running of their businesses.”
The event will take place at Cranmore Park, Birmingham. It will begin at 10am and is scheduled to end at 1pm, followed by a buffet lunch. The cost of the course is £50 and is available to BFM members. They can book by emailing [email protected]
