Golden Houses Developments, the UK-based construction business specialising in high-end residential projects, is upsizing yet again as company continues rapid growth.
The company is taking on four new permanent staff members and moving to a new 130 square metre office space – an increase of 110 per cent on its current premises.
The move – and the recruitment drive that made it necessary – follows Golden Houses Developments’ February 2016 announcement that it expects turnover to reach £80 million by 2020.
Joining the business are senior quantity surveyor, Hilleth Yendoll, who brings over 35 years of experience on projects such as 550-room hotels, project managers like Chris Wiciak and admin assistant Kamila Sroka.
Their appointments take the number of workforce at Golden Houses Developments to 147.
The new office space has been prepared for the Golden Houses Developments team with the help of internationally renowned feng shui consultant, Dr Michael Oon. Working with private and commercial clients as well as property developers, Dr Oon has an enviable track record of transforming homes and workplaces across the world.
Speaking of these latest developments at her company, Monika Slowikowska, founder of Golden Houses Developments, said: “For a business formed just four years ago, we’re proud of the growth it has achieved so far. This is further evidence that turning the traditional construction firm model on its head works. At Golden Houses Developments, we don’t subcontract almost anything. Our full time permanent staff carry out all our work. This makes us more streamlined and more cost effective than any other property developer.”
One of very few construction companies led by a woman, Golden Houses Developments focuses on solutions, not problems. It brings unrivalled skill, professionalism and integrity to its work and simplifies the building process through clever design and attention to detail.
Monika’s project was shortlisted at the RIBA Awards in 2011 and featured on the cover of ELLE Decoration in May 2012. Earlier this year, the company worked with George Clarke, presenter of Channel 4’s hit television show, Amazing Spaces, taking on the challenge to build houses and flats in seven weeks.
Golden Houses Developments recently appeared on Channel 4’s Ugly House to Lovely House, also presented by George Clarke.
This year, Golden Houses Developments has been shortlisted for a Construction News Award in Housebuilder of the Year Category.
