Kingspan Timber Solutions donate TEK to Fabric First Project

As the UK’s leading supplier of premium performance building envelopes Kingspan Timber Solutions use TEK as part of a hybrid structural frame solution. The advanced TEK solution has recently been donated by Kingspan to a new ‘fabric first’ investment project for Passivhaus homes in Norwich.

With the planned investment of up to £300 million’s worth of Passivhaus homes through Norwich City Council’s Fabric First Framework, there is a strong need for multiple contractors to up-skill and ensure delivery of the planned developments.

In support of this, project partners have joined together to develop a life-sized and functioning ‘Fabric First’ demonstration model building, using Kingspan Timber Solutions TEK system. This structure will provide valuable training to workforces and college students. Training will be provided by the Whole House Energy Consultancy, who will develop and deliver Fabric First and Passivhaus building methods.
