Leading housebuilder Redrow has today launched its ‘a better way to live’ marketing campaign, which aims to showcase the thriving communities that are being created, beyond the physical homes, bringing its placemaking principles to life for customers.
The new campaign comprises a series of high quality films which are centred on a selection of the businesses’ placemaking principles; ‘easy to get around’, ‘keeping it local’, ‘streets for life’, ‘places to go’ and ‘nature for people’. These principles were born out of a desire to understand the most important aspects of creating places that offer social and environmental benefits for new residents, as well as the wider community they will become part of.
Redrow held workshops with all of its divisional teams nationwide and undertook a comprehensive review of national planning and design policy guidance documents in order to create the placemaking principles. These not only contribute towards improving health and happiness, but also establish a sense of belonging and ensure the built and natural environment have a positive impact on individual and community well-being. This year, led by Group Master Planning Director Kevin Parker, Redrow launched its design manual ‘Creating a Better Way To Live’, based on this set of measurable placemaking principles. These will help to inspire planners and design teams at each of their new developments, helping to create beautiful places for people to live, which are sympathetic to their unique surroundings.
The films will be promoted across all of Redrow’s social channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The campaign will also be broadcast across screens in Redrow sales centres nationwide.
Matt Grayson, Group Customer & Marketing Director, commented: “Our set of placemaking principles and our approach to community creation are unique to Redrow. We consistently seek to deliver distinctive, high quality and beautiful places for our customers to live.
“We have created hundreds of thriving new communities over the course of our history, all of which are instantly recognisable as ‘Redrow places’. Our latest marketing campaign aims to bring this to life for aspiring new homeowners and demonstrates our offering beyond just the physical homes that we build.
“The high-quality films we have produced represent a step-change in our marketing material, as we move towards the highest quality assets which showcase our fantastic new communities and the sense of belonging they foster.”
Redrow created the ten films in locations across the country, including established Redrow communities Cherhill View in Calne, Amington Green in Tamworth and The Green at Horsforth Vale. The filming was facilitated by creative communications company DRPG, which has previously worked on national campaigns for companies including BT, Jaguar Land Rover, Sainsbury’s and Worcester Bosch.
