- Professionally-managed, high quality homes for staff becoming increasingly important for employers offering flexible and home-based working
- Quintain Living showcases best-in-class benefits of build to rent sector for corporate lets
- Deloitte expects 25% of workforce to be home-based in 2025
There’s been much talk recently on the likelihood of a return to the pre-pandemic five-day office week. Apple employees have been asked to work from their office for three days a week by September, whilst KPMG has asked staff to come in for at least two days a week. In any case, working from home, in some capacity, is here to stay.
That’s the finding of a Deloitte survey of Chief Finance Officers, 97% of whom expect more flexible, home working over the long term to become the norm. By 2025, they expect a full quarter of the workforce to be based at home. That’s a significant jump from the 5% who were home-based in 2019.
Whilst offices will undoubtedly continue to play an important role in business, it will remain as crucial as ever that people have a positive and productive home-working environment too. For businesses offering flexible and home-based working, the smart option now is to recognise the importance of their employees’ home environment and the part they can play in supporting staff in finding a suitable home.
The shift to longer-term home working has led many companies to look at the benefits of corporate lets for the first time. Corporate lets allow businesses to do two things: to relocate employees to new locations without hassle, providing a better-quality lifestyle than a hotel can offer; or to offer discounted rental homes to employees as a competitive staff ‘perk’.
Quintain Living is leading the field in terms of showing what the Build to Rent sector can offer to employers. With Quintain Living’s corporate lets packages, employers can know that staff are living in safe, professionally-managed homes with plenty of outdoor space, facilities to boost productivity for staff working from home and lifestyle-led amenities to support a healthy work/life balance. Plus, companies are able to make use of Quintain Living’s flexible tenancies to suit their needs – with tenancies from three months to three years.
“Corporate accommodation is no longer simply offering a place for employees to sleep at night. Companies are increasingly prioritising the quality of the entire living experience for their employees including the security of their homes and the suitability of the apartments for frequent home-working. There’s also notably more interest now in things like on-site facilities and local amenities – ensuring that employees are able to enjoy a healthy work/life balance the moment they leave their desk.”

Whether businesses are looking for a better alternative to temporary corporate accommodation in hotels, or to offer discounted rental packages as a perk to their employees; there’s a hassle-free process, no fees, and an impressive range of stylish homes to choose from across Quintain Living’s varied collection of Wembley Park developments, only 12 minutes from Central London.
Employees, meanwhile, reap a whole host of benefits too. Quintain Living’s apartments are available furnished and utilities are set up and ready to go. Superfast Wi-Fi is included and also set up ready to use the moment the resident moves in, ensuring there is no disruption to working from home during the move.
Throughout Quintain Living homes, the high quality furnishings and appliances are also a breath of fresh air from the typical London rental product. Homes at Quintain Living’s Canada Gardens have been co-designed with John Lewis & Partners and include Samsung products to provide residents with the ideal blend of style, homeliness and functional space. With a range of apartment sizes available, employees can even use an additional bedroom as an office space if they wish.
Corporate lets at Canada Gardens deliver outstanding on-site facilities, as well as the high-quality individual homes. Cosy, kitted-out work-from-home garden sheds hold particular appeal to home workers and, alongside the hireable resident allotments, they are perfect way to connect with nature in between Zoom calls.
Outdoor space is in abundance thanks to the acre of private podium gardens that give Canada Gardens its name. The grounds are awash with garden-party design features like outdoor kitchen entertainment spaces and BBQs, while the serviced clubhouse and library are perfect when the English weather doesn’t oblige. When the sun does come out, there’s an enormous roof terrace with 360° views of the City, the Chilterns and the famous Wembley Stadium arch.
For employees with children, there’s a private ship themed play area and a beautiful, imaginatively designed crèche space for private party hire. Pets are accommodated too (across all Quintain Living developments) with a pet park in Canada Gardens and local walking services and doggy day care readily available.
“For companies that are offering a hybrid office and home-based working arrangement, the standard of accommodation they provide for their employees is incredibly important. So is the local area and what’s on offer, and this is a big win for Wembley Park.”
Danielle Bayless, Chief Operating Officer, Quintain Living
