More than 200 people gathered at the Hilton Wembley last night for the delayed National Building & Construction Awards 2020.
Due to the many lockdowns over the past year, the prestigious ceremony was postponed, but finally happened last night (21 July), just two days after most Covid 19 restrictions were lifted across the country.
The NBCAs were delighted to be able to host and entertain companies from across the building and construction sector, their staff, and clients at the much-welcomed event.
The awards recognise the excellence of construction firms across the UK and are a firm favourite in the industry’s awards calendar.

Damian Cummins, Awards Director, said: “Huge congratulations to all our finalists for your incredible achievements, many of which we heard about during last night’s ceremony. The last year has been a challenging time for construction companies, who have had to tackle the obstacles thrown at them by the Coronavirus pandemic.
“Project delays due to new health and safety measures, supply chain issues and planning and inspections have caused chaos and upset, however, the businesses we have celebrated with these awards have continued to strive and thrive.
“It was wonderful to have such an uplifting event last night in the same week that most Covid restrictions have been lifted nationally, and be able to watch worthy winners celebrate their successes in the way they so rightly deserve.”
Entries for the 2021 awards are open now and will see the introduction of two new award categories – Lockdown Leader and Business Chameleon.
The closing date for entries is Thursday 2nd September at 3pm.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Hilton Wembley on Thursday 18 November 2021.
