Quintain Living is already well-known for its distinctive rental accommodation. The award-winning management company oversees the rental of more than 3,000 apartments in Wembley Park. However, its latest building – The Robinson – is causing some head-turning thanks to its seriously quirky amenities and eye-catching homes.

With multiple bedrooms of near-equal size, many of them with en-suite bathrooms, and one monthly bill which can be split for ease, The Robinson is perfect for students who want to stay and study in style.

Just 12 minutes from central London and within reach of some of the capital’s most popular colleges and universities, Wembley Park is the ideal student location. In fact, almost one in five Quintain Living residents are students, further testament to the appeals of the neighbourhood with those in higher education.  Well located for UCL, the University of Westminster, Middlesex University London, The Regent College London, College of North West London and with University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) Wembley right on its doorstep, The Robinson is now drawing in students who are looking for more from their digs.

So, what is it about The Robinson that is proving to be such a hit with students?

“The combination of bold, alternative design and the apartments’ eclectic style with such a wealth of amenities has been a real hit with young people who want the very best from their student lifestyle. And with one monthly bill, a concierge on site to provide peace of mind, plus an array of social events to enjoy, The Robinson really does offer the whole package. It balances quiet homes that are ideal for self-study, with amenities that reflect the excitement and vibrancy of Wembley Park .”

The Robinson’s apartments are packed with style. Influences vary from contemporary and mid-century to art deco and retro kitsch. The underlying design is simple and classic, with exposed concrete and galvanised piping creating a raw feeling, while brightly coloured kitchens offer a sense of excitement. Lights are metal or bamboo, with handmade Liberty pattern lampshades adding a touch of contrast in the beautiful black and white, Yin and Yang bathrooms.

It’s when residents step out of the apartments, with their individually coloured front doors, and onto the Caribbean-style patterned carpets of the corridors that the wonder really begins. Homely touches, such as grandma-style wired lampshades and nostalgic wallpaper, create a sense of connection, but are overlaid with a whole host of other features that contradict and challenge.

It’s hard to know where to start when it comes to The Robinson’s amenities. As you meander through the extensive podium gardens, curiosities await at every turn. There’s an enclosed peace garden where you can sit and soak up the surrounding greenery. There’s a formal lawn with deckchairs that’s perfect for summer picnics. The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Garden boasts brightly coloured giant flowerpots, chandeliers and festoon lights hanging from the rafters, an oil drum BBQ and a bright pink kitchenette that’s hidden behind innocuous wooden panelling.

Head up to The Robinson’s roof terraces and there’s plenty to appeal to students looking for a sense of community. The main roof terrace is home to what is believed to be the longest stretch of sun loungers in London, with a juice bar (shaped like an orange, of course) providing refreshments at one end. A smaller roof terrace hosts three bespoke camper vans, fitted out as work from home spaces, with heating and power (along with the site-wide WiFi that’s provided free of charge). Where better to write your dissertation? And for relaxation after a long day of studying, students can enjoy the rooftop spa caravan complete with its own hot tub!

If the British weather takes a turn, then students can slide down from the main roof terrace to the residents’ lounge below. With its multi-layered art wall, see-through fireplace and Damien-Hirst inspired polka-dot London taxi coffee machine, the lounge is the ideal spot for students to socialise, make new friends or simply enjoy some solo down time in a community atmosphere. It’s also a great spot to hang out and study, with a number of booths and individual study areas for quieter moments. With estate-wide Wi-Fi in place, students can simply pick up their laptops and move from one study area to the other without having to fret about connectivity.

The events that Quintain Living organises certainly build on that sense of community. There’s something for everyone, from bread-baking and cocktail making classes to screenings of films and dance classes. Events range from the super-special supper clubs and private gigs in the podium gardens to much more chilled affairs such as quiz nights and bingo.

Students also have the whole of Wembley Park at their disposal. The area is home to an outstanding selection of independent shops and eateries, including London’s largest Boxpark which is home to 24 food and drink outlets. There’s also London Designer Outlet, with 70 shops, coffee shops and restaurants, Wembley Park Market, the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, The SSE Arena, Wembley and, of course, Wembley Stadium – which The Robinson’s residents can see from their rooftop sun loungers. Pop-up markets, art trails and more add to the wealth of experiences on offer in this vibrant London neighbourhood. Safety is also a priority at Wembley Park with professional estate management offering 24/7 on-the-ground security, a dedicated police team, and round the clock concierge services available in all Quintain Living buildings.

“Students in London will be hard-pressed to find more exciting homes in a better location. We are delighted with the depth of the experiential living available for renters at The Robinson and look forward to welcoming our growing cohort of students over the summer months, in the run-up to the 2021/22 academic year.”
