The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) have confirmed that it will be hosting its own awards event following their Parliamentary Conference in February.
The first awards ceremony of its kind for the industry will see the world of installation in the spotlight, to recognise those within the industry who have gone above and beyond the call of duty over the last year.
BiKBBI confirmed the categories as follows:
Community Champion
To recognise those who have done something special for their local community. This can be for an installation related act, or for something they have done outside the industry.
Customer Service Guru
This category celebrates businesses or individuals that have excelled in the field of customer service, perhaps for an initiative that demonstrates focus on customer experience.
Apprentice of the year
2021/22 will see cohorts of kbb apprentices begin their career within our industry. We recognise those who have stepped forward and recognise early successes.
Young Installer of the year
In recognition of outstanding service for installers under the age of 25. Whether an installer or new business leader, we want to see the installer of tomorrow, recognised today.
Installation Business of the year
This is to recognise a business and its people for outstanding efforts. Whether the business has employed new people, won new contracts or demonstrated impressive growth.
Installer of the year
Celebrating the efforts of an individual installer and their work over the last year.
Retailer of the year (National)
Nominated by their installers, this category celebrates the efforts of the National retailer, their focus on installation and the support they have shown to their installers and installed customers.
Retailer of the year (Independent)
Local and regional retailers will be nominated by those installers who they work with. If your independent retailer does something exceptional on the subject of installation.
Installation Manager of the year
This award recognises the efforts of those installation or project managers who coordinate fitted projects.
Lifetime Achievement
We salute someone who has significantly contributed to the world of installation over a career lifespan.
CEO Damian Walters comments: “Our 2022 Conference is set to be an amazing event, so we felt that now was a great time to get behind an awards ceremony that focused on installation.”
Damian went onto say: “I think we all now appreciate the importance of installation and the dwindling population of specialists who deliver the service. An awards ceremony that focuses on installation will serve many purposes, from recognising those in the industry now, those who may be considering a career and to continue the job of raising the profile for this often disjointed part of the industry”.
