Folk (www.folkcoliving.com), the co-living brand on a mission to set a new standard for renting, has announced a significant new partnership with ARC Club for Londoners looking for a productive place to work, close to home. The brands have joined forces to not only elevate the workspace facilities within Folk’s first co-living building – The Palm House in Harrow – further, but to give Folk’s residents access to ARC Club’s growing network of spaces all over London, so they can work from wherever they choose.
With 84% of the UK who can work from home now choosing to adopt a hybrid working model[1], Folk’s dedicated work space at The Palm House gives residents a different environment to work in that’s not the office. A convenient change of scenery, the space enables residents to draw a line between their bedroom and where they work, something many people in regular flat shares aren’t able to do. ARC’s takeover of the workspace at The Palm House will see them introduce a number of professionalised amenities including second screens and state-of-the-art printing, as well as community programming and its award-nominated interior design.
The partnership also means that Folk’s tenants have access not only to the workspace but to ARC Club’s growing network of London Neighbourhood workspaces, currently in Camberwell and Homerton, which offer full office functionality in a design-led interior. Folk and ARC will also offer a limited number of flexible memberships to local residents living near The Palm House situated in Harrow.
Paul Naylor, Regional Operations Lead at Folk says, “At Folk we’re always looking for ways to innovate and improve the resident experience and having access to a high spec co-working facility is a huge part of our offering. Our spaces are designed to give flexibility and comfort for residents to work from wherever they need to but in somewhere that’s separate from their bedroom! We’re excited to partner with Arc Club to bring this unique offer of co-working membership within residents’ all-inclusive bill, and not only at The Palm House but at more ARC Clubs across the capital. We’re also looking forward to welcoming members of the local community into our space to co-work, making them even bigger hubs of diversity, creativity and collaboration – something Folk thrives on!”
Hannah Philip, Co-founder at ARC Club said: “We believe that having places to convene in our local neighbourhoods is vital for physical and social wellbeing. We are social animals! As such, we are delighted to be partnering with Folk and adding productive, design-led workspaces to their co-living portfolio. With this partnership, ARC will increase its network to 5 flexible workspaces dispersed across London and access to all of them will be included in ARC Membership, which is free to all Folk residents. The introduction of an ARC Club at The Palm House will also increase the amount of shared space that is available to the wider residential area and enhance the positive local impact of each building. ARC is committed to transforming how we live, work and thrive together in our local neighbourhoods.”
Folk opened its first co-living home earlier this year – The Palm House in Harrow. The brand will launch its second site, Sunday Mills, in Earlsfield in November, and its third in Battersea in early 2023. The buildings are state-of-the-art and all cleverly designed around the brand’s key pillars of community and connection, encouraging social interaction and the formation of new friendships and relationships.
