ENVIROVENT HELPS TO CONTROL HAY FEVER SYMPTOMS THIS SUMMER!

Research by the Royal College of General Practitioners revealed a 114 per cent increase in people visiting their GP with hay fever symptoms in 2014, as more people took action against the seasonal condition.

It is therefore hardly surprising that EnviroVent, a leading ventilation manufacturer, has seen a rise in sales of its ventilation systems that may help to relieve the symptoms of hay fever and other allergies.

EnviroVent’s Mr Venty® is a Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) system, which gently ventilates the entire home from one central position. Its highly efficient filter eliminates the large pollen particles that can be hazardous to the 18 million people with hay fever in the UK. It transforms stagnant and stale air where particles linger into a fresh and condensation-free environment.

Rebecca McLean, Marketing Director at ventilation specialist EnviroVent, said: “Hay fever sufferers should take action now to avoid the discomfort and suffering that a high pollen count can cause them. Controlling pollen and other irritants entering the home is crucial to ensuring a healthy and stress-free summer.

She continues: “We’ve already seen a surge in demand for our Mr Venty ECO2 range, which may help to keep hay fever symptoms under control, as well as reducing condensation and mould in the home.”

The UK hay fever season usually lasts from March to October, reaching its peak in mid June, so the next few months could be a difficult time for sufferers unless they make changes in their own homes. It is estimated that the average person spends 90 per cent of their time indoors, and with 70 per cent of this at home, there’s a very definite need to make this space as allergen free as possible.

The good news is there’s no need to suffer in silence. Staying indoors won’t alleviate symptoms such as itchy eyes, headaches and sneezing unless the home is well ventilated – and as opening a window is a no-no for those with pollen allergies. A whole house ventilation system could be the answer to a more comfortable summer.
