The end of 2015 saw the opening of The Belfry’s Woodland Walk, making the most of The Belfry’s setting amongst 550 acres of rolling countryside. Fitness obstacles are in place for those parents that opt to tackle the 2km course at a slightly faster pace, as part of their new year’s fitness regime. The Belfry is certainly steeped in golf’s tradition, a heritage which has been further celebrated with the opening of the Ryder Legends Mini Golf course. The 12 hole layout has been thoughtfully designed with each hole inspired by Ryder Cup courses from the matches historic past and aimed at providing a fun and relaxing activity for the family to enjoy.
In addition to the outdoor activities, The Belfry is set to add to their gastronomy offering with the opening of Rocca’s Pizza Pasta Restaurant this February. The family friendly Italian restaurant is named after Costantino Rocca, Italy’s most successful golfer who played the Belfry’s infamous Brabazon course when representing Europe in the Ryder Cup in 1993.
Rocca’s will focus on serving fine Italian cuisine in more of a relaxed setting adding to Sam’s Club House, a favourite with the resident golfers, The Ryder Kitchen, the perfect spot for a Sunday roast and The Ryder Grill that serves up an a la carte menu made up of succulent steaks, chargrills, fish and lobster.
Whilst the children are making the most of the new activities on offer, parents can choose to unwind in the luxury Spa and Health Club with its menu of signature treatments and their Fire & Ice experience of 12 bio thermal rooms.
