USM Modular Furniture presents a series of custom drinks trollies envisioned by award-winning New York mixologists Jane Danger (Mother of Pearl), St. John Frizell (Fort Defiance), and Ivy Mix (Leyenda, American Bartender of the Year 2015). The trollies are created using USM’s iconic Haller System, the limited edition bar carts reflect each bartender’s professional expertise and personal style, showcasing the endless versatility of USM. The modular system of USM will also allow you to create your own drinks trolley to fit with any entertainment area whether that be an open plan living room or a roof terrace.1

Designed by legendary Swiss architect Fritz Haller over 50 years ago, the USM Haller System consists of a series of ball joints, chrome tubes, and metal insert panels that can be configured to meet any storage need. Used for everything from credenzas and bookcases to room dividers, closets and more, the Haller System is also perfectly suited for bespoke bar carts and trolleys. USM’s classic range of 14 colors, shelves, doors, and accessory options blend function and style, offering unlimited customisation for the expert mixologist or at-home entertainer.

Intertwining her love of music and cocktails, Mother of Pearl’s Jane Danger has created a multi-functional bar cart that can house her record player and speakers in addition to the essential tools of her trade. Her design incorporates bold pops of Golden Yellow, which tie back to the main ingredient of her signature drink, the Indus Valley – a savory blend of pineapple, lime, cane syrup, toasted sesame oil, peppers, and gin.

Acclaimed drinks writer and Fort Defiance owner St. John Frizell was inspired by the “Baker Bar-ette,” an early bar cart introduced and marketed during the Prohibition by one of his heroes, the early 20th century food writer and adventurer Charles H. Baker. Though no photos of the elusive “Baker Bar-ette” are known to exist, Frizell channeled Baker while creating his design – a sophisticated Steel Blue cart that balances practical features with unexpected details, such as perforated shelving to chill glassware. Frizell’s signature drink, Remember the Maine, is also a classic from the Baker Jr. archives, featuring rye whiskey, vermouth, cherry heering and pernod.

Known for her expertise in pan-Latin flavors and spirits, award-winning mixologist and Leyenda owner Ivy Mix has created a bold USM Haller bar cart infused with equal parts function and personality. Inspired by red hue of her signature drink, the Tia Mia, Mix’s Ruby Red and Pure Orange cart includes clever storage compartments for tools and personal touches, including her favorite cocktail books and hand-blown glassware created by her father. Inspired by Mix’s travels through Guatemala, the Tia Mia is a modern play on the mai tai, made using mescal, rum, lime juice, almond syrup, and curacao.
